1. What is a Swedish Massage?
The primary defining characteristic of Swedish Massage is that the strokes of the massage go TOWARDS THE HEART.
This is a relaxing, soothing stress-relief massage... great for alleviating stress, anxiety, depression, etc.
.. Just remember, strokes towards the heart, smooth, easy, relaxing.. think "Never Never Land". For a more detailed explanation of Swedish massage,

2. How much clothing do I need to remove?
Ultimately, that is up to you. If you are uncomfortable, you won't be able to focus on enjoying the massage, no matter how good it is. That being
said, generally ALL clothing is removed—this will enable you to get the best massage possible, as there are key muscles
around your hips, pelvis, and sacrum (tailbone) that clothing interferes with massaging. You will also be covered by a
drape/sheet; so no part of you will be seen or touched that shouldn't be.
3. What can I expect in a 60-minute massage?
I've had clients that just want me to focus on their back for the whole hour. No problem. It's your massage, and I will cater to your needs. But generally,
in a 60-minute massage, your whole body will receive a "basic" massage, and I can spend some extra focus on one or two parts and do some deeper work. The
most common request tends to be "neck and back"... which will alleviate much of the stress that most of us experience and tend to "hold" in those
areas. You might want "legs and arms", or "feet and back"... who knows? Again, it's your massage, this is YOUR hour, and it's all about YOU. Tell me what
you want.. and I aim to please.
4. What can I expect in a 90-minute massage?
For a 90-minute massage you will receive that extra focus/deeper work on your whole body (neck, chest/arms, abs, legs, feet, back). This, obviously, is
the best option if time and money allows. The reason I say that is because, while you may be experiencing the "smoke" of tightness in your neck,
for instance-- the real "fire" may be in your left calf. The strain in that left calf might cause you to compensate by putting all of your weight
on your right leg, which makes your pelvis un-level, which causes your back to lean to the left, and then your neck leans to the right to keep your
head "level"... which results in your sore neck, back, etc. So the best way to take care of the "smoke" is to first find the "fire"--and put IT out!
The 90-minute massage is a good step towards doing just that. The 90-minute time frame also allows
you to reach a deeper relaxation, resulting in more therapeutic, healing benefit--as well as just being more bang for your buck.
5. What can I expect in a Heated Stones massage?
This is a 90-minute massage... the smooth, heated stones are used in two ways: First, "placement stones" are put on your body in key locations to heat up the
muscles before they are massaged. The heat causes your blood vessels to expand and the muscles loosen up, enabling the massage itself to be one of the most effective and
pleasurable massages you can get! Secondly, heated "massage stones" are actually used as a tool in the massage itself. The smooth, warm,
oiled stones are used in addition to my hands. The added dimension of the heat is...
luscious. I don't know a better word for it. I still remember my first Heated Stones massage, like people remember
where they were when Kennedy was assassinated. If you like saunas, jacuzzis, Ben Gay, heating pads, hot baths/showers,
or electric blankets, this massage is for you. The 90-minute duration of the massage also adds to the therapeutic (both
physiological and psychologial) effects of the massage.. we're talking VERY NICE!!
For more detailed information on Heated Stones massage, Click here. But the
bottom line is, no amount of reading will begin to compare to the massage.. just try it.. splurge a little on YOURSELF--you deserve it!!
6. How much time should I allow for the massage?
60-minute Swedish -- allow 90 minutes.
90-minute Swedish -- allow 2 hours.
While the massage may not actually require all of this time, factor in
possible late start, set up table, linens, music, cleanup time, etc.
A massage is for you to relax.. so try not to make it a time crunch if possible.
7. What payment methods do you accept?
I accept either CASH or CREDIT CARDS (Visa, MC, Amex, or Discover). You must contact me by phone for all
credit card transactions.
8. What do I need to do to prepare for the massage?
a. Prepare an open space. For a Swedish massage, AT LEAST 7' x 10' of open space is needed.
For a Heated Stones massage, I will also need a counter/table to place the heater, and a source of water.
b. If you take a shower before I arrive, you will get the most benefit from the massage.. and it helps me out too!! You may also want
to take a shower following the massage to wash off any remaining oil.
9. Do you offer a "sensual massage"?
This is somewhat of a tricky question really. "Sensual" is defined as "relating to, or pleasurable to the physical senses".
So by this definition, YES, every one of our massages is sensual. However, the word "sensual", in some people's minds, has
the connotation of "sexual"-- so by that definition, NO, we do not provide any sort of sexual/erotic service.
If you are after sex or happy endings or anything illegal or inappropriate, look elsewhere! Any sexually suggestive remark
or advance you make will result in immediate termination of the session, and you will be charged the full amount.
10. Can I get a female therapist?
Absolutely, I can send you one from my team of therapists--
Just call and ask me. They are AWESOME!
And their massages are also NON-SEXUAL!
Mistreat or disrespect them, and there will be a reckoning!!
(Plus, they will leave and you will pay the full amount for the massage)
11. What about tips/gratuities?
While not mandatory, they are always appreciated. How much to tip? The "general" tip amount is around 15-20%. If you remember that you
normally tip a server at a restaurant 15% or more.. and they are only visiting you for a few minutes here and there during the course of
your meal. A massage therapist is placing 100% of their focus on you, and is intent on meeting your needs for the whole
time you are with them, so I would think a good tip would be at least the same as a server's. If they've gone above and beyond
or have done an exceptionally good job, feel free to tip accordingly. Again, tips are not mandatory, but always appreciated
